Guided Every Step of the Way

Installing a Stiltz Homelift is a smooth, guided experience from start to finish. You’ll know exactly what to expect at each stage — from construction and permitting, to installation and ongoing care. We handle every step with clarity, communication, and a commitment to making the entire process feel simple, organized, and stress-free.

Permitting

Permitting is an essential part of delivering a safe, compliant, and long-lasting Stiltz Homelift. Every installation meets the requirements of your local jurisdiction, and we guide you through the entire process with clarity and transparency. Our team handles the permit application and documentation, communicates directly with the building department, and ensures all required paperwork is accurate and complete.

While the timeline varies by county, our goal is always the same — keep things moving, keep you informed, and make the process feel smooth and predictable.

  • Documentation & Submission
We prepare and submit all drawings, product data, and required forms on your behalf.

  • Communication With Your County
Our team stays in contact with the permitting office to track progress and respond quickly to any requests.

  • Approval & Scheduling
Once approved, we immediately coordinate with you and your contractor to prepare for construction and installation.

  • Final Inspections
After installation, your county inspector confirms everything meets code so your lift can be formally approved for use.

Construction & Preparation

Construction for a Stiltz Homelift is a clean, organized process handled by professionals who understand these projects down to the smallest detail. While we don’t perform construction in-house, we partner with certified and trained contractors who specialize in Stiltz installations and know exactly what’s required to prepare your home safely and correctly.  Precision construction leads to precision installations — and this is never something we take lightly.

  • Arrival & Protection
The contractor arrives on the scheduled day and lays protective materials to safeguard your floors and surrounding areas.

  • Confirming the Lift Location
Together, you’ll review the agreed-upon placement to make sure everything aligns perfectly before any work begins.

  • Template Layout for Precise Marking
Using a manufacturer-provided template, the contractor carefully traces the exact shape and position of the aperture before any cutting is done. This ensures accuracy and eliminates guesswork.

  • Cutting the Floor & Ceiling
Once the layout is verified, the contractor cuts through the ceiling and flooring to create the opening where the lift will pass between levels.

  • Framing & Structural Support
The new opening is framed to transfer weight properly with the surrounding joists and to create the structure needed to mount the lift rails.

  • Steel Insert Installation
A custom steel insert is installed to give the aperture strength, stability, and a clean, finished edge between floors.

  • Drywall, Paint & Finish Work
The surrounding area is sheetrocked, painted, and finished so your home looks polished and ready for installation.

Installation

Our installation process is designed to be efficient, clean, and detail-driven. Every installer is trained specifically on Stiltz Homelifts and understands the precision these units require. By the time we arrive, your home has already been prepared for the lift, allowing our team to focus solely on building, calibrating, and perfecting your unit.  Most installs can be completed in less than 2 days.

  • Arrival & Setup
Our technicians arrive within the scheduled window, protect your work area, and bring in all equipment needed for the installation.

  • Rail & Drive Installation
The vertical rails and drive system are installed and secured to the framing created during construction. This forms the backbone of the lift.

  • Lift Assembly
The cab, panels, polycarbonate, lighting, and safety systems are assembled with exacting detail to ensure performance and longevity.

  • Testing & Calibration
We run your lift through multiple test cycles, calibrate the sensors, and verify smooth operation at both levels.

  • Training & Handover
We walk you through how to operate the lift, review the safety features, and answer any questions before completing the handover.

Aftercare & Maintenance

After your lift is installed, we will continue to be here for you. Stiltz lifts are engineered for reliability, and routine maintenance ensures your system runs smoothly for years to come. Our service plans are simple, transparent, and designed to give you confidence that your lift is always in good hands.

  • Installation Completed
Following your installation an inspection is performed after 60 days.  This insures that everything is working as expected.
